Our
website, www.pbvs.org, is
designed to provide basic topical information* regarding pension plan rights
and benefits that are of interest and importance to participants. In addition,
our website provides links* to additional information and websites that may
be of interest. Also, we provide toll-free, initial consultations and
referrals to information and resources without charge. We do not provide
legal services, but our expertise includes in-depth knowledge of ERISA (Employee
Retirement Income Security Act) and subsequent laws and regulations that make
up pension law. We can refer you to legal counsel as a part of our service.
In addition PBVS provides unique and highly specialized services - independent
verifications of retirement plan benefit calculations and distributions on behalf
of individual pension plan participants. All calculations and distributions
are reviewed by a Pension Actuary with many years of direct pension plan experience
with top-ten Pension and Benefits Consulting Firms, holding qualifications with the
Society of Actuaries and the American
Academy
of Actuaries, and certified by Joint Board for the Enrollment of Actuaries (DOL/U.S.
Treasury) to perform pension plan services. Most often we provide
these specialized services on a fee-for-service basis. Occasionally, we
will perform services on a contingent basis. Because of the time investment
required to verify pension benefit calculations, partial fees are due upon request
for a Pension Verification.
At our sole discretion, and through certain programs, PBVS provides limited pro-bono services to certain referred clients.
